Hello and welcome to my site!

My name is Tony Pettersson, called Ken, and I’m a Swedish drifting driver that’s about to move to Japan to study Japanese and try to get in to the Japanese drifting scene. Hope you enjoy this site and if you have any questions or want to sponsor me, just email me. Hope to hear from you all and thanks for now.

Back in business

Hello.
Guess everything around this site has died a bit since it was about 100 days ago I posted something here.

So where should I start?  We begin with the school, which has been on for three months now, and it´s a really good school and I think I’ve learned a lot in just 3 months. Tomorrow we go on holidays for 3 weeks.  Hopefully I can go to some circuits, because I´m going to Tokyo and on the way I want to drop by some good circuits.
On my way home I want to go to the Meihan Sportsland and do some driving because during my time in Japan I´ve met some new friends that drift and they can borrow me some good cars for a small amount of money.
Last month I´ve realised that I´m not able to buy a car here in Japan so I´m just gonna rent the cars from my friends and plan some new stuff in Sweden for my homecoming.Atleast I´ve been driving some drifting here and that calms me down because the first month without driving almost made me crazy!
About the plans for my homecoming are at the moment pretty unofficial and I will tell you more after I´ve discussed it with my sponsors.
Hopefully I can give you some videos and pictures from my driving soon and maybe some interviews with some local drifters!

So long. Tony

Raidopower Motorsport 2010

So, I just sit here, with 2 days to departure .. Today I met up with  Arslan who made this page for me. We  met for the first time in person and it was a very professional and nice person who will be of great help during this year in Japan.

This picture from Elmia 2010,  where I sit together with Andreas, the owner of Raidopower, and team boss to Raidopower Motorsport. We met over the weekend down at Elmia and we talked a bit about the future and what we want to achieve together. More info about this in the coming months. But to throw in a little info about the news from Raidopower this year, I want to tell you this:

They have in the winter made a major investment in drifting into this summer and will have a team called Raidopower Motorsport. So long they put together 2 cars. A brand new Nissan S14 which is the one seen in the picture. It is built from the ground up with every detail necessary for a competitive driftcar. They have incredible number of hours in the car and it feels like a dream. The car will this year be a really fine car. The driver of the car is the awesome Olle Hällström and it will also be driven by the chief mechanic for the team, Tokan.

The second car they have in their team is a BMW M3 E36 which I unfortunately did not managed to get so much more info about, more than the superb Mikael ”Wunderbaum”  Svensson will drive this year, besides, Mike is one of the few in Sweden that made the sport to what is today . He is a very experienced guy who deserves all the attention he can get.

That´s a very good and interesting initiative which I will follow during the year. Hope it goes well for the boys and that I just  have to take a turn in one of their cars in 2011 if the situation looks as good then.

Please visit their new site, www.raidopowermotorsport.com , where you’ll find everything about their Team and where they can be seen in the summer. This page is still under construction but still worth a visit.

Want to  thank Raidopower for their great interest in my trip and hope this sponsorship leads to more good things in the future.

Next time I write, I will probably sit in my little apartment in Kyoto on the other side of the world.

So long/ Ken
